Autopay Technologies AS (“Autopay Tech”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy.   • ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) images and plate numbers

  • Parking and EV-charging session history

  • Location data (for misuse detection in the Autopay App)

  • IP addresses and technical logs for fraud prevention and system security

  • Transaction details

2. Why we process personal data

  • We process personal data for:

  • Providing and operating the Autopay service

  • Ensuring account security and fraud prevention

  • Delivering customer support

  • Sending important service-related notifications

  • Detecting and preventing misuse

  • Complying with legal obligations and requests from public authorities

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • Contractual necessity - to deliver the Autopay service

  • Legal obligation - e.g., accounting and compliance requirements

  • Legitimate interest - fraud prevention, platform security, service improvement

  • Consent - for optional marketing by parking operators

4. How we share your personal data

We do not sell your data. We may share data only with:

  • Parking operators using the Autopay platform

  • Service providers such as SMS/email distributors

  • Customer service providers acting on our behalf

  • Manual correction services for misread number plates

  • Authorities, if required by law or court order

If you give explicit consent, a parking operator may receive your name, email, and postal code for marketing purposes.

We require all partners to comply with applicable data protection regulations.

Where transfers occur outside the EU/EEA, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or ensure the destination country is approved by the EU Commission.

5. How long we store your data

We store your personal data only for as long as required to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.

Typically, data is stored until:

  • You delete your Autopay profile, or

  • You request deletion of your personal data

Some data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., accounting rules) or for legitimate interests (e.g., dispute resolution).

You have the right to:

  • Request restriction of processing

  • Object to processing

  • Request data portability

  • Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the legal basis)
