Our environmental policy
Business impact
Autopay Technologies develops software solutions for the parking industry. We have no physical production, use no chemicals or solvents, and generate no direct emissions. At our head office, we keep electricity consumption low and work entirely without paper.
By focusing on e-commerce and digital services, our Autopay solution has helped transform the parking market in Norway and across Scandinavia - moving from mechanical systems to fully digital ones.
Sustainable by Design
The result is a smaller climate footprint achieved through reduced traffic queues, minimal use of mechanical equipment, and fewer physical payment machines. Our “open” design allows registered users to park anywhere in the network without additional installations, further reducing the need for new hardware.
We remain committed to developing features that deliver added environmental benefits while ensuring full compliance with environmental laws and our own sustainability commitments.
Our solutions are environmentally friendly by design, removing the need for paper tickets, physical barriers, and bulky hardware
Net zero by 2030
We aim to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. Our approach includes:
Switching to 100% renewable energy wherever possible
Building energy efficiency into our software development
Using environmentally responsible data centres
Supporting remote work to cut commuting emissions
Ethical sourcing
We expect high standards from our suppliers and partners, ensuring they uphold ethical sourcing principles. This includes checking that supply chain partners follow fair labour practices and requiring them to sign our Code of Conduct, which promotes diversity and inclusion
Managing supply chain risks
To ensure sustainability across our supply chain, we design our software to run on a variety of hardware platforms, diversify our suppliers to avoid over-reliance, and regularly monitor and assess their environmental and social practices.
Sustainability in practice
We actively work to develop features that improve parking efficiency, reduce congestion, and cut emissions in cities, while partnering with EV charging providers to expand the availability of charging stations.
